Rachel is a co- owner and founder of House of Opal. and specializes in color, extensions, and bridal styling.

Rachel is a stylist with 18 years of experience behind the chair. Her passion for doing hair started when she was just 6 years old, and from there she graduated from cosmetology school even before she finished high school.

“I am a Michigan native but have a southern heart! I love Jesus and give thanks to Him in all things. I’ve been married to my best friend for 17 years and am a bio, foster, and adoptive mama. We live on a homestead with a lot of animals and our 4 kids. I love working in the city and living in the country!”

“I strive to give my clients a relaxing, luxurious appointment while creating a meaningful relationship. I cherish each and every one of them! I love giving women a confidence boost physically and mentally. I believe everyone deserves to feel good about themselves and I’ll always be your biggest cheerleader while giving you amazing hair!”

Rachel’s bridal work is featured on The Knot and Wedding Wire and she is certified with Trust & Mane and JZ Styles for hand-tied extensions.

OWNER/STYLIST

Clara is a co-owner and founder of House of Opal. She is a colorist who specializes in color corrections, blonding services, and natural color theory. She is also experienced in cutting, hand-tied extensions, and event & bridal styling.

“I fell in love with the industry when I was 11 years old. My dad is a sculptor, my mom was a painter, and my neighbor across the street owned a hair salon. Creativity is in my DNA and hair is my medium. It is my outlet and my passion.”

“Aside from the artistry, human connection is the greatest blessing of my career. To connect with my clients on a personal level, all while instilling confidence to face the day with a fresh look (and outlook) is the greatest reward.”

Clara has styled in New York Fashion Week 2020 and is a certified vendor for bridal styling on Zola.com.

STYLIST

Tiffany is our stylist who is also new to the Winston Salem area. Originally from Miami, FL, she is passionate about learning the industry and growing her clientele as she makes North Carolina home.

Tiffany has a degree in Fashion Design which sparked her passion for styling. This creativity and love for design has led Tiffany to the hair industry.

When she is not at the salon, Tiffany enjoys being home and spending time with her family and dogs, Loki and Mimi.

“I love to watch action and comedy movies, and I am a big romance book girly, so you’ll also catch me reading.”

STYLIST

Carleigh has recently joined us from Greensboro and is booking new clients!

She enjoys blonding services, brunettes, and customized lived-in color. But her favorite thing about doing hair is growing relationships with clients and making them feel beautiful!

When Carleigh is not behind the chair, she loves spending time with her boyfriend, friends, and her two dogs: Willow and Cubby. She also enjoys reading romance books, watching every new TV series, gardening, and baking sourdough bread!

STYLIST

Amanda is new to Winston Salem after moving here from South Florida.

Originally studying on scholarship for a singing/performing arts degree, it was there that she discovered her passion for hair.

“Something about helping women see the beauty on the inside shine through on the outside filled my cup in ways I couldn’t have imagined.”

Amanda has now been licensed for going on seven years and absolutely loves everything color. She specifically works in lived-in color and dimensional blonding services. She also offers hair cutting, extension, and bridal styling services as well.

“I want each and every person who sits in my chair to feel welcomed and beautiful, and of course know that all of their secrets are always safe with their hair lady!”

When Amanda is not in the salon you can find her with her two pups Delta and Oliver, reading a good book, or exploring her new home of WS with her husband.

STYLIST

Victoria has been a local stylist for 8 years! She loves meeting new people and making hair dreams come true.

Balayage and dimensional color are her favorite behind the chair, and she is also a bridal stylist.

Outside of the salon, you will find her at the gym, with her two pups, or on a coffee run!
